A Birth Story & New Happenings

She's here! Our Little Elizabeth Rose was delivered at 10lbs 4oz and 22 inches long!! It was an interesting birth. The morning she is due, I was nervous, excited, and admitted a little scared. As our first baby this was quite an experience. Little did I know that it would be more interesting than I had predicted.

My water broke and the contractions had started. My regular Dr, Eden, was not going to be able to be on for the birth. We had discussed it a few days earlier and she had referred me to another Dr that she trusted and told me would make the birth smooth and easy with no problems. The Dr and I had talked and I felt very secure and safe with this Dr delivering our baby girl. But when the time came....there was no Dr to be found.
Falling asleep on her play rug Uncle Matty got her

I stood there contractions coming, water broke, and panicked. What were we going to do? All the clinics required an appointment. No emergency births. So it came down to an at home birth. My twin Clara came to the rescue, as she had been through this before she immediately came and helped us through it. Hubby was fabulous when we got in the tub together. I think delivering our Elizabeth was a once in a lifetime experience for him. Neo was on hand for encouraging and passing damp towels. I was proud of him for not fainting like I felt like doing a couple of times.

All in all it was a successful birth and Elizabeth was born healthy and happy. She is currently being spoiled rotten by her aunts and uncles but it warms my heart every time. I'm so glad that she has a loving family. And she's fast growing! I will have a official picture of her up soon in the Photo Booth!

In other news the contest with CMB Designs and Sadie's Designs begins this Sunday!! I'm so excited about this 'Name that Tune Contest"! Hopefully it will bring traffic to CMB Designs my sister store to Sadie's Designs and exposure for us both. Take a look here if you haven't read up on how to win- prizes will be awesome!

I have also started a Rome and Paris Collection. I wanted to do something old style with a modern twist. Who knows if I will pull it off....sometimes my builds end up going in a completely different direction but always turn out great!! I will also be putting together the Whovian Collection and the Wonderland Collection together so people have the option to buy the entire Collection instead of each piece individually.

I am as always excited for what the future brings and so thankful for the family I have, especially our little Elizabeth Rose.
